Cobra (1986)

Cobra is a 1986 platform game based on the film of the same name. It was developed and published by Ocean Software, and was released in Europe for Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64 (C64), and ZX Spectrum. By 1990, it received a budget re-release.Cobra is a side-scrolling platform game based on the film of the same name.The player controls Cobra, a cop who must rescue a model, Ingrid, from a villain known as the Night Slasher. The player must avoid various enemies throughout the game, including members of Night Slasher's gang, and people with bazookas. Cobra is initially unarmed and only has a headbutt as a defense. Weapons such as knives, pistols, and laser-sighted machine guns can be found inside hamburgers which are laying around in each level. The player can also duck to avoid attacks, and must jump over incoming prams. Gameplay takes place across three levels: a city, a rural area, and a factory. The player ultimately faces off against the Night Slasher in the factory. 

 

 

Cavalon (1984)


While you ride along unsuspectingly passing a castle you suddenly hear a cry for help and see a young lady on a tower that wants to be rescued. (As you are knight by profession you do not hesitat for long and enter the castle (such odds and ends are what you as a knight are paid for!). However, you now realite that you have to go up six floors fill of knights and archers and that each of the floors corresponds to a labyrinth that is secured by a gate. Each gate can only be opened, when all parts of it have been found. And you remember (as an older person it can happen that you forget one thing or another) that in the 6th floor resides the really horrible wizard with his black magic. But in this castle it is said that there is a weapon named "Excalibur", which is said the make the bearer invulnerable for a certain time...



Robocop 3 (1992)(C64)


Probe's RoboCop 3 for 8-bit computers combines two different styles of gameplay: the first level is a Operation Wolf-style shooting gallery, while the rest are side-scrolling platform levels. RoboCop's enemies are mostly "Splatterpunks" and "Rehabs", while bosses include Otomo Ninjabots, a tank, and RoboCop's old "friend" ED-209. In the platform levels, Robo can collect weapon power-ups, which upgrade his standard weapon first to rapid fire, then to a three-way shot. Also available are a flamethrower, laser gun and a guided missile (each with only limited ammunition). In level three, RoboCop dons his jetpack to fly across the area, but must walk back the same way in level four. In all levels, he can collect repair tokens, which allow the player to repair specific areas of the cyborg's body in a repair screen between levels.


Bloodwych

Bloodwych is a dungeon role-playing video game, a dungeon crawler, developed for the Amiga, Atari ST, MS-DOS, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, and ZX Spectrum. Its box featured artwork by Chris Achilleos. The plotline identifies the player as a champion of Trazere who, after recruiting up to three fellow champions, travels through dungeons and mazes fighting creatures along the way to find and destroy the evil Zendick, and banish the Lord of Entropy.

All of the champions fall into the four classes of Warrior, Mage, Adventurer or Thief, each with their own particular capability. Within each class there are four characters available, each with their own colour of Red, Blue, Green or Yellow. Each colour also has its own particular advantage, largely with respect to the families of spells the character will be most adept at casting and developing. However, that colour is also important when it comes to matching up coloured rings later in the game to magnify the effects of spell-casting.
